Daughter Elaine
Dear Mom,
92 years.. Such a long time, yet it seems like not enough time to have known
someone as wonderful and caring as you.
I miss you Mom.
I miss your soft voice and your smiling face.
I miss sitting and talking with you about everything and nothing.
I miss your funny way of expressing yourself without trying to be funny.
You were always a role model for me.
You never judged anyone and you were quick with words of encouragement.
Even when you were very ill, your concerns were about everyone else.
Despite your quiet, gentle ways, you were a rock solid source of strength.
My source of strength.
I always thought that you would be here forever.
But God has called you home.
And I feel that he has a special place for you and warm welcoming words such as
“Your work on Earth is finished now. You have done well”.
Rest in peace, Mom. I will always be who I am because of who you were.
Elaine
