John Vernali, 96, of Harrison passed away peacefully on August 21st 2022. John was born and raised in the Bronx where he met his wife Gloria who predeceased him in 2012. After retiring as a Forman for the New York City Highway Department, he moved to Harrison where he would spend the next 50 plus years becoming a staple in the town. Whether he was in town getting coffee and a donut or working for the Harrison Parks Department to keep the town clean and beautiful, John’s personality was enjoyed by all. John is survived by his son Gerard, his daughter in law Nancy, and his grandchildren Victoria and Gerard along with many other loving family members. His memory will be in our hearts forever.
