Hildegarde M. Stave, 85, of LaGrangeville, NY.
Born and raised by German immigrants in Brooklyn, NY, Hilda grew up with a strong love for animals. Her kind heart could never turn away stray cats and dogs whom she lovingly cared for throughout her life. She also enjoyed skiing, boating, horseback riding and playing golf with her late husband Oscar. Together they raised a family with two boys in Carmel, NY. She was retired from New York State Electric & Gas where she served in many roles from clerk to eventually getting a commercial driver's license and working with line crews driving supplies, emergency storm duty, flagging and returning bucket trucks for maintenance. She was a wonderful mother who always demonstrated her unconditional love for her children and grandson. She is survived by her son's Rob and Jim, daughter's in-law Adele and Melanie, her grandson Wil and her nephew Bill. Her passing is deeply felt.
