Obituary for Michael P. McMahon

Michael P. McMahon, 65 formerly of Yonkers New York passed away Thursday, February 12, 2020, surrounded by his family, after a difficult illness. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, and married his high school sweetheart Mary (nee Himick) in 1976. In 1984, Michael built a house, and moved his family to Carmel.
Michael was a member of Teamsters local 456, retiring from Waste Management.
He was also a former member of Yonkers Corinthian Yacht Club, when it was a burned foundation, dirt lot, and a doublewide trailer at the bottom of the steps from Warburton Avenue.
Michael enjoyed sailing, traveling, and his grandchildren. He and his wife had made many trips to the Caribbean, but loved Bermuda the most.
Michael was a proud Irishmen, known for his mustache, table slapping, meticulous filing system, and endless nicknames.
Predeceased by his wife Mary, sisters Margaret Berry and Susan Ellis. He is survived by his brother John (Joan) children Kristan DeGrazio (Frank) and Lauren Fitzgerald (Eddie), and grandchildren Frankie and Trevor; as well as his many nieces and nephews. . The family will receive visitors at Balsamo Cordovano Church Street Carmel, NY on Saturday February 15 5p-9p and Sunday February 16 6- 8 pm.
