Condolence: I recently retired from the MTA (at age 62) and only learned of this when a friend forwarded the notice. I was very sad to hear of George's passing. George was one of the first people I worked for at MTA when I was right out of college in the late 1970's. He was one of the hardest working people I ever met and always wanted to do the right thing for the company and his coworkers. He was a friend and mentor when I was a young man and I will remember him fondly. The only thing more important to George than the MTA were his children, who he cared deeply about. A good man who will be missed by many.

Condolence: Mike and I worked for George in MNRR quality control dept. He was a mentor, friend and a fair boss, the best. George would perform the same task he would ask us to do,side by side, a smart, hands on individual who will never be forgotten.
We would converse about family, our vacations especially Virginia beach. He was always a soothing, caring individual.
Our deepest sympathies to the family, God bless you,we will miss George but he certainly left a lasting impression.
