Obituary for Louis Pappas

Louis Christopher Pappas was born on November 17, 1925 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on November 25, 2018. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He later attended college at Pace University continuing to earn his Master’s degree at Fordham University. He worked as a chemist for BASF Corp for over 35 years where he enjoyed his travels to Europe & throughout the U.S. In 1960 he married his life-long partner Agnes Parrino. He is survived by his wife Agnes, they had four children Christopher who was predeceased at age of 6, Jane D’Orazio & son in law Robert, Steven and daughter in law Jamie, Andrew and daughter in law Lila. He was grandfather to five cherished grandchildren, Steven, Samantha, Alexandra, Nicholas & Mikayla and two great-grandchildren Sophie and Aiden. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, watching any and all NY sports and spending time with family and friends. He had the most positive attitude and sense of humor that never wavered. He lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
