Mrs. Alice O’Connor entered eternal rest on Wednesday October 31, 2018. She was 93 years old. Alice was a lifelong Harrison resident, born June 12, 1925 to the late Anthony and Adeline Capio. Raised and educated in Harrison, she married the late George O’Connor on November 4, 1950. Together they remained in Harrison to raise their family. Alice got most of her joy from being with her family and her friends from the Harrison Seniors.
Alice is survived by her six loving children Sharon Twardy (John, George Jr., Casey, Kelly Fanelli (Joseph), Shawn Hackett (Vincent), and Thomas (Marie), 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Marion Day and Anne Fraioli, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Alice had been predeceased by 2 sisters Mildred Diefenbach and Evelyn O’Connor, as well as 1 great granddaughter Madeline Grace Ammerman.
The O’Connor family will be receiving friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home. Funeral will take place on Tuesday. Mass of the Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church. Interment to follow at the Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye.
