Raphaelina Vaccaro entered eternal rest on Tuesday February 7, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was 95 years old.
Raphaelina was born June 18, 1921 in Portchester, New York, to the late Pietro and Letizia Di Buono. She was then raised and educated in Harrison, New York where she raised her family and spent her life.
Raphaelina was the devoted wife of the late Nicholas. She is survived by her 4 loving children, Richard (Renee), Nicholas Jr., Robert (Angela), and Joyce DeRenzis, 9 loving grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 brother Albert Di Buono, and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Raphaelina had also been predeceased by 8 siblings, Mary Ricozzi, Frank, Louis, Michael, Anthony, Peter, Jake, and Richard DiBuono.
The Vaccaro family will be receiving friends on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Monday. Mass of the Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, New York.
