Obituary for Lois Adora Krobetzky (Briotte)

Lois Adora Krobetzky (Briotte)
Lois Adora (Briotte) Krobetzky, beloved mother, grandmother, and adoptive mom to strays of all kinds, passed away after a fierce fight against lymphoma on Wed. March 23.
A florist by trade, Lois also turned her artistic skills to providing makeup and costuming for the Westchester Broadway Theater, Scared by the Sound, and many local school productions.
Raised both in Tennessee and New York, her children liked to tease her about her "nonexistent" southern drawl and her height never reaching five feet.

Her passions included tiny dogs, cooking without recipes, thrifting for antiques or bargains, beach vacations, attending the theater, reading, and she was always up for spontaneous adventures.
She instilled a love of animals in her three children, who often shared the house with orphaned baby raccoons, skunks, opossums, and squirrels.
Married to Henry Krobetzky for 42 years, they raised three children who share a flair for the artistic and dramatic in their varied fields: Loralynne, a preemie with her mother's short stature, college professor and media consultant; Debralee, NYPD officer and makeup artist; Devon James, wardrobe supervisor for many stages and drama teacher at Port Chester HS. She was mother to her children's spouses, Mike Welch and Matthew Hart, and acting mother to all who worked with her.
She is also survived by her adored grandson, Dylan James Hart, her beloved chihuahuas Daisy Mae, and Sir Oliver Chatsworth the first, esq. and the family cats.
She is predeceased by her sister, the Reverend Rose Ann Briotte, and her parents, Tony and Gladys Briotte.

Visiting hours are at Harrison Funeral Home, 329 Halstead Ave, from 7-9 pm, Thursday March 24, 3-7 pm Friday March 25, and Funeral to be held at 10 am Saturday March 26 at All Saints' Church, 300 Harrison Ave, Harrison, NY 10528.
